Now we need the ability to use a centerfire rifle for night time hunting in all regions for them. Since it's my understanding that you have to use a rimfire to hunt yotes at night. Once that changes I'll probably get setup with nightvision, since my cuz moved to the middle of nowhere in Lenawee County.

We are hoping to get a vote on centerfire in June. I'm working with Bob and a few other guys in pushing for this. It well have a cartridge restriction that unfortunately leave the grendel out, but it will still make night time more effective

That's good to know, I was thinking to myself they could at least let use a 6mm or 22 cal centerfire cartridges. I realize the RF will work but at night less light so more of a chance of just wounding the animal and then we'll get tree huggers and Peta complaining. It's not like they don't do that enough already, lol!

I signed the centerfire after dark petition, but the caliber restrictions are dumb AF.

                    The petition: https://www.gopetition.com/petitions...r-hunting.html

I have been flying all over and the only wolves were I've ever seen in Michigan were the inbred ones on Isle Royale.

I am part of the group working on the centerfire at night drive. if you are really interested in helping we need folks to show up at the NRC meetings and or call the council members and express your wishes and reasoning.

Once you go thermal, you'll never go back.....The animals are nocturnal, therefore more active at night. Also I've walked up within 30 yds of pigs, and within 125 yds of my first coyote on a half moon night. They didn't have a clue I was around...
