    PPU 120gr HPBT data?

Does anyone have a BC for the PPU 120gr bullet and/or chronoed the round out of a 20in barrel?

    Welcome to the forum.

My 18-inch barrel velocity is 2427, if that helps.

Welcome aboard. We figure it's somewhere in the low-to-mid .4XX G1 region.

I have not been overly impressed with the accuracy in my rifle. I have had good results with the brass in 6.5x55 going all the way back to 1990. it was sold as hanson brand and also century arms. many reloads from each case.

Is this a match type bullet or is it a hunting bullet? If its a hunting bullet does anyone have any on game performance report? Inquiring minds want to know.

It does both, since the jacket tapers thicker as it gets towards the base, which makes for nice controlled expansion.

Put a 120gr cup and core bullet with that kind of sectional density and soft nose through an animal and it will behave like a lot of 6.5mm bullets do.

Here is a chrono file from lab radar. I neglected to change the bullet weight when I switched rifles so it will show the 150 grain instead of 120 and the energy values will not be correct. You might be able to derive a drag coefficient from a trend line analysis in Excel.

Oh well its not letting me upload the spreadsheet
                  Ill try later.

Thanks for the welcome and information so far. I am interested in this round because it shoots much better than expected out a Radical Firearms barrel ( no greater than 2in at 300yds) with less than 50 rounds through it so far. I may just stick with it if I can get some decent data on it.

LRRPF52 I am interested in the expansion of this bullet, where can I find more information on this? Is it the same bullet as the Wolf MPT?
