New bolt Grendel build in progress

    Hey guys

I've started another bolt Grendel project but decided to try out a black hole weaponry barrel because I've seen great results from their ar barrels as well as some savage/remage bolt guns. I just got them to cut me a blank to my contour specs with an extra 1" of cylinder section so if I decide to rechamber to a parallel throat Grendel variant. I'm really pleased with the finish the Manson reamer left in chamber as opposed to some other reamers I've used.

I had a Templar custom muzzle brake laying around and figured I'd give it a try, may not leave it. I'll update after bedding and load work up. I'm starting out with some 100 gr nosler BT bullets over varying loads of h335 and some over XBR. Also some factory amax to try cause I know they're accurate.

    Remington 700 SA blueprinted
Factory trigger with springs changed out
    PTG bolt with m16 extractor
    BHW 22" SS Barrel
    B&C tactical medalist stock
It will wear a vortex HS-T 4-16 x44 mounted in a dnz 20 moa mount.
Eventually I'll cerakote after verifying accuracy

    Hope you all enjoy.

I bet it will be a pleasure to shoot. Looks fairly heavy and has a good brake on it.

Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.

        Aim small, miss small!

Good looking stick, between the weight and break bet you will have no problems spotting your shots.

Beautiful. It's going to recoil like a .17 HMR probably.

Good looking rifle Richard! Did you do all the action work yourself?

Yea I do all the action work, chambering, threading, and fitting. I buy my blanks contoured as it only makes sense to me not to have to contour one. Pretty fun stuff. I'll try and post up some pics tonight of groups from this rig. The BHW pipe is definitely more picky than the bartleins and kreigers I'm used to working with. I've done a couple rock creeks as well and they were pretty picky.
