      Looks the same;

      18" Lilja 318

      Notes:
      • Taper crimped.
      • A fairly high standard deviation but this is my most accurate load.
      • 10fps added for distance between muzzle and Chrony

So it looks like you might have a load that gives 200fps over the factory 123 SST load. Is the 29.7 grain load showing pressure signs? Will this add distance before you go trans-sonic? Do you think the 107SMK will behave as well in the trans-sonic to sub-sonic range? If it's accurate, this could be a keeper.

I'm going to load up 29.2gr I think in larger samples and test at extreme distance.

I think twist rate is so good with the 1/7.5 and 1/8 twists, that it will fly well to 1000yds and beyond.

Litz BC on it is .461/.230, so it's good. I like the lower recoil of it as well, and could feel it increasing as I got to max charge weights.

Following the lead of LRRPF52, I ran the same ladder through by 23" Lilja:

Brass was new Lapua. I shoot a few strings of 123 Amax-Once Fired Lapua brass before this ladder (my preferred load of 28.1 XBR) and got .47 groupings. I think my groupings would tighten up using once fired. What is everyone's experience with new brass/groupings?

            Great velocities!

Always better results with once fired. I tested this in 09'.

New Gmx 120 pills cut to 100- 97 grn. I went between a qtr. sized coin to a nickel, to a dime size @ 200 yds. With once fired. I rarely shoot farther, no need to.

New brass lost at least , an extra .3-.5 in diam. Your results may vary- go try a something.

The only bullet to get my recommendation that year with new brass, was the 120 Hot Cor, from Speer-- WOW ! Insane groups- .255. I could actually hit a few fly's on the sugar coated---- me so badd- ----target.
Hee! 20 " AA ENTRY bull bbl. - button rifled unit.-- 18 x scope helps too.

I'm looking forward to the results. Wish these bullets were cheaper though.

I ran a couple of 5 shot groups with my tighter ladders of 29.1 & 30 8208 XBR @ 200yds. Not too impressed with the results. Details: twice fired hornaday factory brass, resized & trimmed with redding bushing sizing die & .289 bushing loaded to 2.25". I am debating on what to do next. Try a different powder (AR COMP?), try different brass or OAL, or abandon the 107 SMK all together? - suggestions/thoughts on below groups & what to try to tighten them up?

Additional thought - I had good groups with the 107 SMK @ 28.5 gns - 2651 FPS. My 123 A-max loads are slightly tighter at 2545 FPS. My thought is there is no real advantage shooting the lighter 107 SMK at 100 FPS more than the 123 A-Max load for long distance. The advantage of the 107 SMK over the 123 Amax load was getting the 107 SMK up into the 2700 FPS range. Does that logic make sense?

If you're not seeing pressure to higher with powder. All the lighter bullets I've run including these and 108 scenars liked running max. I was getting either 2890 or 2980 with the 108's and they really tightened up. Was shooting 1-1.5" at 380 last time I shot them.

8208 and benchmark. When I get back home I'll check my notes and let u kno for sure on load and velocity

Nice. Any idea what velocity that load is getting you?
