    Fourth of July Tradition

    Went out with some family to celebrate our rights on the morning of the 4th of July, with a little long distance shooting.

    My nephew was able to hit the 1056yd IPSC steel on his 2nd shot I think. Hitting the 700yd 12" popper was boring, so I got out on the 1056yd for more challenge.

    It was a great day to kick off the 4th.

    This was with the Alexander Arms factory 123gr Scenar load, by the way. Very accurate load I have found.

    I was stacking shots on each other at 450yds, which is why I moved to 700yds, making repeated hits in pretty stiff wind on a 12" plate.

    At 700yds, I was holding 1.75-2 mils into the wind.

    At 1056yds, I put on 2.5 mils because it's easier to aim and connect that way with a heavy wind in my experience.
