    New Hot Weather Patrol Cap

This is something I've wanted to do for a while.

It's an Aussie-style Hot Weather Patrol Cap.

I'll be wearing for a week-straight for testing. It's very light and breathable like my Boonie Cap, but with a large baseball cap type brim instead.

Just got back from Boy Scout summer camp up in the Uintah Mountains.

The hat worked great for my needs. I'm not sure I would change anything with it really at this point.

One thing I try to do to my best abilities given the materials I have is to match the pile tape (Velcro) patches with the background.

This hat did a great job of keeping the sun off my nose and face, as well as my neck. I have zero sunburn on my neck, and only very slight redness on my face, which happens no matter what, even with thick facepaint on.

It also works well in conjunction with helmets, especially if you're in a hot, sunny environment.

Looks great, cool idea- put some blaze orange strips on the top, & the brim- It will sell in a many states. I'll buy one- maybe 5.

This will be cool also for -Cold weather, most of us in the north, sit in a stand with windburnt face, syndrome. And sweaty while getting into the stand. Evaporation would be awesome-steam.

          Well done. Thumbs up!

A hat with a brim that long is just the ticket for knocking down face shine when im duck hunting may have to get one of these.

I'm going to make Hunter Orange models of both the boonie cap and this cap if there is demand for them.

It looks functional to me. I'm always rolling the back of the brim on my boonie out of the way while in the prone anyway, might as well get rid of it. Have you shot with it yet?

Dear LRRPF52 a cap like this in blaze orange would be great also, Would it be possible to get one in all black and have the neck cover section long enough to loop around and use as a half face mask.

The reason I ask is I like many hunt from pop up ground blinds and camo clothing doesnt work as good as straight black clothing to concel your movements in the blind and a cap like this in straight black with the neck cover section long enough to loop around and use as a half face cover would be the cats azz.

If you notice our boonie caps don't have the back of the brim present. You can also reverse them.

I'm making a mesh neck gaitor/face veil as well.

I'll take one of these Aussie style caps in ocp/multi-cam if you're taking orders.

I just got back from my job in one of the most beautiful spots on the earth. I ordered a Patrol cap for my daughter awhile ago and I finally got a chance to take a closer look at it. It wasn't what I expected, it was much better. The cap is very light wait and perfect for hot weather outings. It can be stored in a small back pack and or even a large pocket yet it can be put back into shape with ease and it gives great cover for us lighter skin types. Paul contacted me to correct my order mistake and to make sure the fit and function was correct, that is called good customer service! The quality is outstanding and I can recommend it without hesitation.
