I shot my buddy's 6mm Rascal bolt gun (6mm BR wildcat with 30 * shoulder blown forward, more than caliber neck length available for tension).

I was hitting a 12" circle plate at 806yds easily just using reticle holds.

Case capacity is not that different between it and 6mm Grendel.

    I've been thinking about a 6mm Grendel AR15 for a while now.

I have two reamers for the 6AR. So, I can provide 6AR barrels in any configuration, profile and blank wanted.

I also provided the OPs barrel.

Just PM me what you have in mind for a quote.

Let me also add how good the 6AR is:

The local 2016 AR steel plate champion beat us all by mile this year. Points are accumulated over seven matches thruout the year. Shooter with the most plate hits for the year is the champion. We shoot plates from 100 to 547 yards, over difficult terrain.

This same shooter also shot the only ever perfect 60x60 match this year, since the sillouette course was bult six years ago.

This guy beat all the Grendels, .308s, and 6.5 Creedmoors. The .223s dont stand a chance.

I built his complete 6AR upper from parts I was planning to use for myself!

He is thrilled, and I am glad the upper performed so well.

My first test of his upper at 100 yards produced 1/4 MOA groups.

We used a Hart barrel blank for the build, and a 2VA side charge reciever.

Another thing I've found is that the round shoots CFE and the 105 A-max very well now from my barrel.
Half inch groups with more velocity and meters very well.
The Krieger barrel is exceptionally smooth and doesn't need cleaning for at least a couple hundred rounds.
I'm shooting the rifle off the bench like a hunting rifle.
Shot free-style I think it would shoot in the .3's or maybe .2's.
Going to try the 108 ELD's after deer season.

Had a pretty good group going a few days ago.
The last one to the left was me I think getting a little too nervous.

Trying to get the sierra 95 grain TMK to shoot as good but not there yet.

I am thinking of going to 6x45. If I keep going I will end up back at 223.

Whats the difference between a 6x45 and a .243-250? years ago I saw a guy shooting .243-250 over a chronograph at 3600fps. Fastest thing I'd seen at the time. I never considered using the round until I saw you 6x45 idea. Might give 6mm Creedmore a run for its money.

6x45 is a .223 wildcat, necked up to .243. You're limited on what bullets you can shoot in the 6x45 due to ogive length and case length, which is why the 6mm AR (6mm Grendel) makes a lot of sense with a shorter case, more case capacity, and the ability to use long target or hunting bullets with high BCs.

We are doing a 92gr MKZ (Maximum Kill Zone) expanding hunting bullet and a 92gr TMT (Tactical Match Target) in 6mm right now.
The expanding hunting bullet is coming in at .465 G1 and the TMT at .510 G1.
I have finished bullets and am in the final accuracy testing phase.

Buddy of mine gave me some 107gr SMKs for future projects, and I was pleased to see that they come pointed from the factory.

Little off topic, but I just picked up a Ruger American Predator in 6mm Creedmoor. Was very surprised to see it has a 1:7.7 twist. Should be able to stabilize the 110gr SMK and the 108 ELD-M no problem.
