They posted this 6 "working days" ago, I'd guess we have at least another week or so to go. How many barrels do you think they could stencil a day?

Easily all of them. They easily do several hundreds a day. I used to laser engrave carbide end Mills, it's all just a matter of where they are in the queue.

I think sneaky is just taking about the sales of these 20" 's which are over and done. Now just waiting for delivery.

If there's one thing I've learned on this, my first, group buy, it's that regardless of what the manufacturer says they are done when they are done. I worked in the manufacturing business for a long time and when customers demand a timeline that can't accurately be given the best they can do is guess. So everyone wants to know when, when, when but you gotta remember that the manufacturer (in this case Faxon) is also manufacturing product for countless others and all of them want theirs ASAP. Can't get mad at the manufacturer, they are doing the best they can in a situation where everyone wants theirs now and obviously that's not possible. In my opinion, which isn't worth much, is there is no point asking when it's going to be done because they can't answer that accurately until they are done. Sit back, realize that everyone is doing the best they can and think about something else until they say "They are in the mail!!".

Just my opinion, hold the hate mail lol.

I can't wait! I just ordered a Odin adj gas block (planning for the future; hopefully, a Can on the end of the barrel, someday when I retire out of the USSC (United Socialist State of California)) and a Geissele SSAE (more trigger than I am shooter). Just need my back ordered Meopta scope and mounts. Antelope buck and a Whitetail doe are just around the corner if I can gets some loads put together.

Correct. We still have to laser engrave and we are doing double-secret probation level Q/C checking on them!

Nathan, Any update on progress? When you do a production run, do you do an "over run" of some quantity to allow for manufacturing mishaps?

BFT, Once the big box of barrels arrives to you, is it a few days to pack and ship 50 items or is it more like a week long task?

I think some of our friends in the Minneapolis Metro area should all go over to BFT's house and help him package the barrels for shipping. This has nothing to do with me trying to get my product quicker, I "genuinely" think he needs some help.

Well... for the past few days I've worked my ass off getting ready for this hurricane, which at present, is due to come right over us here northwest of Orlando... sure would be a great pick-me-up to have a barrel and bolt to celebrate a new build...lol.

Earl, I meant it took a while for the goal of 50 bbls., before they are made for each bbl. length. The first 16" GB went fast.

I have a Faxon 16" tube from the first group buy. BFT came to my house with a boxfull, I picked the 1 I wanted , and it is a Shooter!

I also have an AA 20" Entry model from 2008. It's amazingly accurate.


Win, I offered to help him ship bbls., bolts- he said he could handle it. His kids helped out .
