    Posting a photo

Has been talked about for 1000's of year's!!!
So frustrating, not only on this web site.

Took a screen shot of my brake. The file is too large!! Also happen's on other " blogs"...

WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT?????!! Please
I am not an imbecile.... I can be trained. I promise.....

My 15 year old son can probably do it with his eye's closed.... Right!!!

I read and I want to participate.

    Sorry rant over...

Since the beginning of digital imaging there has been a race for higher resolution images. The manufacturers have discovered megapixels sell cameras. My cell, a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, has a 16 megapixel camera and I just took a pic and checked the file size and it was 5.56 Mega Bytes. That is a huge file. To make it smaller you will need photo editing software to open the image and lower the resolution and save it as a different file so you can keep the original unchanged.
Here is a link to a website that does a good job of explaining the process:

There are many programs available ranging from free to big buck$. Here is a link to a Photo Editor online:

Us Mac users have it a bit better. I use the bundled app "preview" several times a day to resize, edit and to enhance images. I suppose iPhoto works better, but I have been using Preview for so long it is hard to change...

Redraider, here is my best shot. I just hack my way through these things.

            Windows 10 picture resize process.
Download picture to a folder and save in Pictures,
Open folder and click on thumbnail to highlight picture. Thumbnail must be highlighted. Do not open picture.
On the Home toolbar click edit located on the right side of tool bar in the open box.
This takes you to a new window named paint.
On the Home toolbar under image click "Resize".
In the resize box click "pixel count".
Choose the box with the highest pixel count (horizontal or vertical) and change it to 1500.
The "maintain aspect ratio" box should be checked by default.
            Save picture to new folder.

It worked for me and the pictures posted with no problems. Maybe some with more skills in this area will clean up my explanation.

Or, in addition to the above, open an account in an online photo hosting site, such as PhotoBucket.

Upload your pictures and videos there.

Link to those pictures from within your posts, here. (Works for any resolution).

              Done.
