    Factory ammo then maybe reload

New to the grendel.. just picked up a Lilja 18 in barrel in 1-8 twist.. was going to try factory hornady 123 amax and see how well it groups and to break the barrel in as well..

What grain are yall running for 1-8 twist?
If i reload what brass do yall like the best?

Main thing ill use the gun for is hogs deer and yotes.. not worried about fur damage
    Thanks for any help

Hornady 123gr AMAX is a good load. I also have a Lilja 18", and it shoots amazingly well. It cuts a ragged hole at 100yds for 10 rounds, and rapid-fires into less than 8" at 1000yds.

1-8 twist handles the full range of projectiles in 6.5mm very well.

Lapua brass is the brass to beat for longevity, but Hornady is good too. I use both.

I like any round from 100 to 129 grain but my fav is the 123 sst hornady factory rounds, followed by the 100 balistic tip loaded by PF.

I dont shoot the wolf or PPU ammo so no advice there sorry.

As for as reloading brass I think lapua is the most favored followed by hornady and noslar.

      Hope this helps sir.
