what mtm or other plastic ammo box fit the grendel ?

Frankford Arsenal 512. Any box for 7.62x39 will work. The Frankford 512 is a little smaller overall than the MTM 50, holds them a little tighter

A standard .223 case upside down (RS-50 or the J-20).

They are supported at the shoulder so the bullet tip is suspended. It's pretty compact and with a layer of foam in the lid you can take them trampolining.
