Nice! My first Grendel build gave birth to its evil little twin within a month. These guns are just too much fun .

Looking forward to seeing more of your build!

Finished assembly yesterday. I think I may paint this one. I was hoping the ALG hand guard grey color was going to be closer to the MagPul grey. Not that the deer will notice. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. One of these days I'll get a real camera.

Ended up with a Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12x42 as Midway had them on sale with free shipping.

Will be a while before I get it out to shoot. I'm interested to see what this Faxon barrel does. My AA 16" will shoot 1/2" @ 100 with Hornady SST's (factory loads).

OK!! Finally!! Got out to function test and sight in the new Grendel with the Group Buy 1 Faxon barrel. We had nearly 18" of snow in the last week and half. Been near 60 yesterday and today so range conditions were not the best. Could only get to 75 yds. The 100 yd line was under nearly 8" of slushy ice water.

My "bench" was a piece of plywood laid across two sawhorses and sitting in a metal folding chair. Caldwell bags front and rear.

I did have a couple FTE and FTF while getting the gas dialed in. The Wolf Gold gave me the most issues. However, I had no jams from the them getting hung up on the feed ramps as I had taken LRRPF's advice and blended them.

Tested Wolf steel, Wolf Gold 120 MPT, and Hornady 123 SST. I forgot the 123 ELD.

Wolf steel 5 rounds. The hole up top is from another group.

Next we have 8 shots of Wolf Gold

And then the Hornady 123 SST. All 5 shot groups.

I am pleased with the barrel. More than accurate enough for what I plan on using it for.

Oh, no, thank YOU, BFT! And Faxon Firearms.

First case was a little hard to extract. I was a little worried at first, but a firm pull on the CH and it popped out. I had maybe 2 or 3 FTE but that all went away with gas adjustment.
