    First kill with the Grendel

After working most of the spring and summer to develop a hunting load for fall mother nature decided to intervene. In case you missed it in the news we had some record flooding in South Louisiana. We got 3' in our home and I lost most of my reloading stuff. Picked up some 123 gr sst's and shot this doe at 90 yds.

Deer did a back flip and ran about 45 yards.

Good job. That surely took your mind off all life's issues at least for a little while.

Fine shooting sir and a nice eating deer as well.

Makes me feel better that somebody in louisiana is killing deer, it's been feast or famine up here I have seen only one deer since our gun season opened on the wma and it wasn't doe day so I couldn't shoot her.
