    Fasten thread protector on tight?

Without using plier (egad!), what would be the best way to secure the muzzle end thread protector? O-ring, loctite, Rocksett? A thin lock washer?

Probably a crush washer that is used with a muzzle break.

If you don't plan to ever take it off then glue works. Otherwise a crush or split washer.

Purple loctite. Won't vibrate off but can be removed by hand at later date if needed.

A friend of mine started using the crush washer off sparkplugs. He was a world champ dragracer and that is where he got the idea. Got a couple uppers done with those washers and they are really cool.
