Will be looking forward to your reports, more so since I just dropped a lot of cash on getting my gear for loading my own.

Sneaky, have you hit them up for an 85gr pill yet?

So let me in on why some of you want an 85 grain and what speeds they run at.
I have been under the impression no one runs bullets that light in their Grendel.

I have been running more loads now that the weather is changing here.
18in ARP 5R barrel, CCI 450 primers, Lapua brass.
I was able to get 2630 fps from our 118 MKZ at 2.28 OAL and 31.5 grains of CFE.
I would consider this a max load as there were slight swipes and primers starting to flatten.
27 grains of AR Comp got me 2530 FPS at .35 MOA @ 100 yards, no pressure signs. There may be a bit more room here.
28 grains of 8208 got me to 2560 fps, no pressure signs.
Work up of course but I was fairly impressed with the speeds I was getting from a solid copper.

                        I ran a project with ROS, & Jasmith a few years back- 80 & 85 & 95 gmx all copper units. @ 2800-3000fps.

It's hard to beat the Gmx pills. I have pushed them thru a many versions of media. And - deer...

What does a cavity back bullet have as an advantange to a GMX bullet????? Non impressive to me...

                        16" bbl,

                        Meh..

The advantage to the cavity backs is they will open at a lower speed increasing effective range. Also, since copper bullets have to be longer to get the weight the cavity helps overcome some of the powder space loss. From testing I have seen they open very well and make a good wound channel. This is coming from a guy who doesn't normally shoot copper.

As for the cavalier attitude. You have a guy who has spent significant time and money developing a product geared towards the gas gun crowd mainly 6.5/6.8. You don't have to like them but you don't have to crap on him either.
