Next Faxon SBR/pistol GB length and material?

Seeing how the first 12" GB is nearing completion I wanted to gauge interest in what maybe the next length should be.. And what material would be preferred 4150 CrMo vs. 416 SS?
Keep in mind these would probably be in the .70"/.70" profile previously used.

*This is mearly to gauge interest and is in no way affiliated with BFT.
Now let's see if I can't screw this up... I am using a not so smartphone after all.. Mods feel free to edit as necessary, Thanks!

    Barrel length options are:
    10.5"
    11.5"
    12.5"
    14.5"
    156

What's the point of a 14 and a half barrel once you pin on the flash hider it's still 16 inches 10 and a half inch Barrel and a reflex suppressor you're still well under 16 inches

Because for what ever reason, some people want the shortest overall length, and not require a NFA stamp. I personally would be hard put to find where that 1.5" would be a make it or break it length that would outweigh the option to change out muzzle device.

1.5" less barrel means less length and weight than a 16", meaning easier toting, fewer restrictions crossing state lines and should still have plenty of reach for the shots I take on game! i'm not really into the muzzle device of the month, so pinning an extended A1 would suit me just fine.

Good points JB, never even thought of those. I wouldn't mind a 14.5 that's what i voted for i already have two 12's comin' but it would leave the options open for the future. hopefully he/we can come through and MAGA and this will be in the history annals.. i still kinda want a 14.5 either way. Might just go in storage.

An option to consider is progressive twist. Although I'm not sure how effective this would be on a shorter barrel. Perhaps it would be more effective on the longer barrels

I'd be all over that so I can pin a muzzle device

Might as well go with 16" barrel. Really not saving much on length with a 14.5. Plus if you decide to switch out the muzzle device or gas block its a pain in the ass. Just me 2 cents.

Honestly I voted for 14.5 but thinking about it I would really prefer the 12.5 the problem with the 12 is the hand guards are mostly 12 not that many 11/11.5 so then you have a big gap with the 10.

Honestly what is the point of a 14.5 inch barrel it's only inch and a half shorter once you put the pinned on flash hider it still 16 inches
