    Here's the original story. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.295e16ee9f7c

If you can't make a case when the perpetrator admitted the crime to a reporter, you're either not much of an investigator or you're just not interested in prosecuting.

Did government credibility die of Covid or with Covid?

Apparently admission of guilt has to be to the authorities in order for them to pursue a case. The pastor didn't do so, none of his parishioners confirmed the story, and no one admitted to storing the gun.

Just out of curiosity, has either the OSP or the DA's office arrested and prosecuted any folks who "think wrong" on guns? I'm wondering if perhaps what you're seeing as "selective enforcement" is actually a matter of the OSP and DA wanting to avoid enforcing that law against anyone.

What I cant understand is why you even consider complying with these laws-unless your goal is to live to be the oldest person in your nursing home. Ghandi showed the way...non compliance with injustice..True, some will suffer. Thats always the cost of freedom from tyrany.

violation of many of these laws would cost the violator all firearms rights
          its what the left wants.

even if you do not agree with a law, breaking it is not the way.

work the process, get it changed

              Only if they get caught.

Meh. The founders of this nation committed treason because they disagreed with certain laws.

Rules are for people who can't think for themselves.

Iowa is liberal enough I don't know how we are not. A .24+ caliber hunting restriction for the little while we could hunt with a rifle was about it... but we have pretty good sized deer too though.

Non compliance is all and great... can't go shoot it anywhere, can't hunt with it, if by any chance you get caught with it you will be a headline with an "illegal military weapons arsenal found" that will make it sound like you all but had RPG's in your basement and your gun owning days will be over.
