I believe all the Howa 1500's have a "Two-stage HACT trigger"....

There is a trigger adjusting screw in the parts list published in the mini action manual...

    Hope this helps.

It won't go below about 3lbs... way too heavy for precision shooting with a light rifle imo

What do you feel is appropriate for precision shooting?

Depends on the weight of the rifle and what kind of precision shooting but personally I'd want a trigger around 1.2-1.5lbs on a lightweight rifle like the Howa

Is the trigger the same as full size 1500 so a Timney is an option?

just got off the phone with Timney, their trigger will not work on the mini action and they have no plans for releasing any new triggers for Howas.

I actually think 2.5-3 lbs is fine . The H.A.C.T trigger is a big improvement over others . Put some Lucas gun oil/ grease to put on the sear engagment and it helps some .

The trigger in mine from the factory feels fine.

ive felt the same way, my match rifles have the same factory trigger in all of them. pull is right around 2.5lbs in all of mine.

Sad to hear about the Time not working I'll have to find a smith that can do something with mine it's too heavy for my liking and the over travel annoys me. Maybe ill mm call Rifle Basic and Jard to see what they have planned if only one company would make a drop in trigger they would sell.

How difficult should the trigger adjustment screw be? I took out the trigger group and used an appropriate sized flathead and damn near stripped the screw without it budging. Have other people experienced a difficult screw?

Did you succeed in adjusting your trigger?
