New Scope Athlon 6-24X50

I just picked up an Athlon Argos BTR 6-24X50 from Optics Planet for $325.59 plus a Vortex 30mm cantilever scope mount for $66.20 for a grand total of $383.88. Instead of just placing an order online I called and asked for the best deal they could do. Optics Planet is pretty easy to work with and it seems you can get a pretty sweet deal if you call instead of using their online ordering.

Specs look good on paper...... except the wt. @ 30oz, that is freaking heavy.
Read some pretty good reviews on it; I would be interested to hear how they fair to some real world abuse.

I picked one up last month and have taken it out a couple of times. Nice clear optics even at 24 power. Positive clicks on the turrets. Easy to focus. No problems dialing it in. So far I like it better than the Vortex Viper I have on another rifle. I figure with the no questions asked warranty I couldn't go wrong.
