Howa or CZ 527 6.5 grendel with Wolf 100 FMJ

Just a concern with the steel case and the lacquer?
With both of these being bolt actions.....

BTW This is for a friend! I think I have sold him on the grendel!!
He wants plinking ammo..

I pretty much only shoot laquered steel case ammo in my cz527 (its a 7.62x39 though) it works well! I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the Howa either

There are at least 42 factory loads for 6.5 Grendel for those that don't want to reload.

I do both throughout the year.

ive shot quite a bit of the wolf out of the howa mini, its functions perfectly fine. We have shot it out to 1000, with marginal luck. Accuracy with that ammo is marginal as well, best we were able to get was 1.5moa.

I run the Wolf through my Howa. The bolt is a bit tight after a few rounds if you don't let it cool, but no biggie. It's terrific for plinking.

The Federal/AE 90 grainers (speer TNT) I've seen at $40.00/50, not too bad IMO. From my new 18" I did a 0.582/3 shots - 100 yds earlier this eve. That and no lacquer to mess with. Just another option for you.
