Folks,
Did a simple build, 20 inch Spinta Precision barrel 1:9 twist. Type I chamber, a standard 7.62x39 bolt. The upper was a Anderson standard stripped, no forward assist, or dust cover.
Joe Bob outfitters adjustable gas block, rifle length stainless gas tube. 12 inch hand guard key mod. No muzzle device.
The load I used was 6.5 Lapua brass virgin, small rifle primer #41. 28.5 of CFE 223 which gave 2490fps. Topped with 95gr Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos.
Accuracy was excellent, and was able to hit the gongs/swingers out to 500. I forgot how great this little round is.
Deer knock down out to 300, and coyote killing capabilities out to 500. Recoil is minimal. One of the reasons I left the Grendel was brass. When PPU got out of the brass for the Grendel, I was not happy. But now that Lapua/Hornady make it, I see a bright future. A2
