Usually a smarter way to accomplish any task.
Use a heat gun / hair dryer on your upper receiver.

Yesterday I put a light coat of RIG on the barrel, set the receiver on chunk of 3/4" plywood and tapped the end of the barrel (with the red plastic protector) twice with a piece of 1x6. Seated it well without much force. Still need to install barrel nut and agb but so far so good, I think.

So I don't have go/no go gages am I safe to assume the GB barrel and bolt are good to go together?

Hey TG, how do you like the brace? I've been debating which route to go.

I like it so far but have not shot with it yet. As this is a pistol build it was the cheapest option and it seems to work as designed. It is not easily collapsed so that is a drawback but if you set it with the Allen screw it seems solid.

Thanks. I was wondering about felt recoil and recoil control when using different firing positions / techniques.

FullSizeRender copy.jpg 123SST the top one is my fault FullSizeRender 2.jpg 100gr Wolf

5 shot groups at 50 yd not my best shooting trying to get the feel for an AR for the first time. The stupid range would only let me shoot the pistol at 50 yd only 16"+ barrels on 100yd range. The arm brace was good enough I wouldn't use it on a .30 but for the Grrrr it is just fine. Rifle functioned perfect after I dialed in the GB. its almost completely closed off but ran fine with the Wolf and SST
