    Texas Grendel

Been working on this slow build but figured I'd go ahead and share my progress. A buddy of mine got one of these Bear Creek Arsenal barrels from Classic Firearms for a steal and says it shoots great, so got one for myself. Upper and bcg are Bear Creek as well. Lower is an AeroPrecision Texas lower and an Ace Arul stock in back. The rail is Matrix. Still a long way to go.

Looks good, let us know it shoots when you get it finished.

When it's time to put the foam padding on the buffer tube we're here for your support. In the immortal words of Rob Schneider "You Can Do It!"

Sometimes the slow builds are the most rewarding. Welcome to the forum and keep us posted along the way!

Haven't got the foam padding yet but when I do, I'm punching 1/4" holes around it in pattern so the polished tube shows through. Of course, there will be plenty to rest my cheek on. Even considered wrapping it in 550 cord in some pattern or another.

I did the exact same thing. Barrel from Classic upper and BCG from BCA. This is my 3rd Grendel upper. It'll go to the range this weekend.

Finally added a couple more parts. Ace Arul stock, Hogue grip, and titanium take down pins. Still have always to go.

All done. I didn't really like the fit of the Bear Creek upper receiver so went with an Alexander Arms. AR Stoner barrel, Matrix Arms keymod rail. AerpPrecision Texas lower and an Ace Arul stock. Dead Bolt bolt carrier and Alexander Arms bolt. Nib-x lower parts from WMD.

Ditto - looks great!! I used a WMD carrier (would have been fine with phosphate but they were on sale & REALLY close in price) & it's probably the nicest NIBx job I've seen. I didn't know they did the bling lower parts...contrast is sweet!
