The 123's I got all look good, no deformations or straightness issues, other than the tip looks more orange than red. But they aren't for looking at anyway.

I've got some of the 123's inbound. If the units are still in stock after they arrive, I'll chime back in with an unboxing report.

              I ordered 600 129 gr Hornady SP's. 16 cents or so a shot and a good bullet.

I have some 129's in bound also. I'm hoping they will be a good Whitetail pill.

Sorry for the late response, was up in Montana for a funeral when the bullets arrived and just got back a few days ago. Received 100 123 polymer tips probably SST the tips look fine not canted at all really cannot tell what made them seconds. Received 100 129 grain bonded with polymer tip again look fine cannot tell what made them seconds. Received 100 120 grain lead free polymer tip other than a few with very minor tarnish cannot readily tell why they are seconds, tips seem fine. Now I need to load them up and see how they fly and group

Got a box of the 129 bonded and I think they must be hormady interbond with red tip. Any thoughts on these pills, will they work nearly as well as the ablr? I am not even reloading yet but I have started collecting stuff. Got to shoot up 260 sst's for brass first.

129gr IB will work but doesn't have the low expansion threshold of the 129gr ABLR. For the ranges most hunt at, it will perform well. It has a different jacket construction that is thinned out in the nose, but of course bonded to the lead core for weight retention to prevent fragmentation and reduced penetration.

I'll have to do some digging to get an expansion threshold on it.

Thanks, the last 6 deer I have shot were within 40 yds. so I am really more interested in a bullet holding together than low end expansion. However I was still hopping for long range potential as I want to practice long range on hogs.
