    Where do you buy bullets?

    Horde,

I am in need of some bullets and was wondering where you all shop?

I have seen some threads in past but searches haven't yielded good results. It would also be great if one of the Admins or Moderators could make a sticky with top sites.

Also, what bullets are you guys using for CQ training/plinking?

I have bought several Nosler factory overruns and blems from Shooters proshop. I have also driven to the Sierra factory and bought bullets from the factory outlet store. I've also bought bullets on sale from Mid South Shooters supply, Brownell's and Midway many times with free shipping.

I've gotten several hundred Sierra 85 and 100 grain varmint plus 120 grain ProHunters from the Sierra outlet store. I use these Sierra for plinking, close range target shooting and varmints. I've shot a lot of Nosler 123 grain CC plus a few hundred Nosler 100 grain BT and 120 grain Hunting BT that were overruns and blems from Shooters Pro Shop. I don't shoot competition and I have been satisfied with these bargain bullets.

I have shot a lot of bullets from Shooters Pro Shops, over runs and blems as well. No issues with those bullets.

Sites like Ammoseek are another good resource to check

How are their shipping costs? I've always shied away from them due to their "we'll let you know how much shipping is once we figure it out? And do they use UPS?

I find the shipping to me in Maine is very reasonable... usually cheaper or as cheap as midway which is my second go-to..

They have always used UPS when shipping to me

I go for lowest cost to my door...AmmoSeek.com and then check out shipping cost from the various bullet suppliers.

Mostly I buy them where I can find them. If I mail order then the wife starts to ask questions when they arrive so local sporting good shops are preferred. I built up such a horde during the Obama days that I'm not in panic mode for anything now. The 100G 6.5 Barnes TTSX does seem to be in short supply at times. Mail order on them, Midway or Grafs, as the local gun shops still can't be bothered to stock Barnes.

Third Gen Shooting Supply. Pricey but about the only place I've seen them for sale.

Thanx, ya, you don't see them very often. A little pricey but for a hunting bullet money well spent.

My local shop can order them and takes about a week to get them. It still is less expensive than Midway and the like so far. Sportsman's warehouse actually had some on their shelves the other day and I bought what they had.
