New man to the forum and the 6.5 Grendel

Thanks for allowing me to join in on the forum! I'm new to the 6.5 Grendel, looking froward to learning all that I can here. I recently bought a Howa Mini action in 6.5, so far, I'm very impressed!

Welcome aboard. They are fun little rifles.

Will you be hand-loading for it?

Thanks, yes, I will eventually load for it, but I've bought some 123 grain Hornady ammo for it. I'll shoot it some and get used to it, record my come ups, then start loading. Still have to buy some dies, etc. I also have a Howa mini in .223 that I have been shooting often. I shoot in positions with a sling and I'm affiliated with the Appleseed program, I figured these two rifles would be great for Known Distance in our program, with rapid magazine change a must!

          Welcome, sir!

I've had the opportunity to shoot the mini-action Grendel quite a bit lately, and I was very very impressed.

Sad for me to say as a big green fan, but id say without a doubt compared to the current R700 offerings and quality, the Howa is a step above!

Thanks, my experience is the same, besides my Mini's, I also own a couple of short action .Howa's in .308 and another in .223. I probably will not be going back to a Rem 700, unless it's an old one!
