I thought this was interesting as I usually don't get this sort of result from SST on Coyotes. Usually, the exit wounds I see are quarter to golfball-sized, and rarely larger to may racquetball-sized, but this was huge!
I shot this young female coyote at just over 80 yards, the shot entering the left shoulder and exiting out of the front of the neck. The wound is huge (larger than a baseball). The trajectory of the bullet had it hitting shoulder blade, rib(s), and spine. The distance from entry to exit is about 6" and that would put it the exit at about the point of maximum temporary stretch cavity, but somehow the conditions were just exactly right and it became permanent.
