    Howa Mini Update

All, ive been testing something pretty awesome the past few weeks.
Its a mini version of the HCR, this takes the Howa mini proprietary mags
What i can tell you so far... It shoots quite well, Sub moa with factory loads is not an issue.
The mag retention, latch system is quite good and i have not had an issue thus far after over 1k rounds tested.
here is a teaser pic, more pics to follow.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying it. Having built a few AR types, I can appreciate that type build, but being an old codger I still like my blued steel and nice walnut. Different strokes, but they all get the bullet to the target. I suspect that will be much more accurate than my new CZ 527, but I enjoy the classic sporters more than the tactical types.

That looks sweet, but I bet it is out of my budget. Glad to see new things for the Mini Grrrr none the less.

Be nice if you'd offer all metal trigger guard for the current miniaction. Pretty cheesy on my rifle.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have seen the replacment, steel CZ mags for less money than the plastics Howa mags. That's pretty sad.

          Thanks, Dinny

There are 3 companies that i am aware of that are working on solutions for this, again, these things take time. When i have more information, i will share it.

That looks great. What's the weight as configured, or weight difference between the factory stock and the chassis?

                    I like it.

After all my "Kawasaki Howa" jokes, I bet my old man will be in line for one of these chassis...lol

The mags are just plain ridiculous I agree with that. No problem with how they are made but they should be 25 to 30 dollars. But you do have to remember the howa's are 150 to 200 cheaper than the CZ's.

Retail on a heavy barreled Howa like mine is pretty stiff. We're not talking about a $300 budget rifle in the mini-action. True the CZ is higher but it's also on back order because folks are willing to pay for its all steel construction. I paid just under $700 for the Howa. It should have came with at least an aluminum trigger guard if not steel. My older Howas were all metal by the way. Nobody had a mini-action in stock for me to handle. If they did, I would have opted for my LGS to put me a CZ on order and just waited. Hopefully, the aftermarket will offer a better trigger guard/bottom metal soon but odds are once you pay for it you'll have as much in it as the CZ. I'll buy the piece if offed but I won't buy another Howa at the price I paid for mine. Cheesy is cheesy regardless of who makes it.
