TBAC Ultra 5 headed to Local Jail

I've got a TBAC Ultra 5 Titanium can headed to local dealer. Form 3s have been getting processed within 24hr.

Still have to do the Form 4 of course.

Had them send me 4 muzzle devices of different types for my blasters.

Need a 12.5" barrel for a pistol build. These are 7.6 ounces, no typo, standard 1.5" diameter can.

That's awesome. I plan on ordering the 7" around Christmas. Did you get the 6.5 or 30cal can?

I believe he ordered the .30, being that it will be mounted on gas guns.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

30 for running on the ARs mostly. Allows more venting from the front, less back pressure through the carrier and the associated noise from the carrier vent holes.

When we shot them at Steel Safari last year on 20" Grendels, they were extremely quiet.

I also shot it on a .17 HMR, which was like a .22 LR pistol kinda, but really sharp high end frequency. A smaller bore can would be better for an HMR.

I've got a cheapie .22 Rebel for rimfire, bit of a sharp crack but not bad with the .17 but stupid quiet with .22 pistol. BTW nice TBAC almost wished I'd have bought one of those instead of the omega.

Gratz, now 9-11 month wait. I called BATFE today to ask for the status on mine which was processed in January 17 and was told that they are reviewing August of 2016 right now, so it looks like 11 to 12 months for me. Is it just me or does this seem like pure bull crap.

4 muzzle devices arrived today. I ordered:

                  30 CB 5/8x24x2
                  30 FH 5/8x24
                  5.56 FH 1/2x28

My plan is to get one 12.5" and use that for SBR/pistol. Put the other devices on one of my 18" Grendels, maybe a bolt gun, and a 5.56 blaster.

Would love to have a little LaRue Stealth 2.0 12.5" set-up for HD and general purpose use.

Ooooo thatsanice! Very jealous of your fine new toy there.

Looking forward to your 12.5 build. Glad to see more shorty Grendel builds. The 300BLK guys shouldn't get all the fun!

Just got delivery confirmation. Waiting for my dealer to call me to start paperwork.

This was so much easier in Finland. "You want can?"

                        "Yes."

                        "400 euros."

                        "Here"

Walks away with can. They even had them next to boat anchors and tackle at sporting goods stores, but have since regulated them more by requiring a firearms owner's permit proof for purchase.

Suppressors are less expensive in other countries because they don't have to deal with the same government nonsense we do.
