2 Sows and 1 Piglet, Hornady SST 123

This is a new property for me, one I have been keeping an eye on for a while, but it never had hogs. Earlier, I had been hunting several places down the road after the rains had stopped. Everything was wet and/or muddy. I was about to call it quits for the night as lightning loomed on the horizon, but then I spied this small sounder from the owner's well lit barnyard. I made an indirect stalk to circle around out of the light being cast in the field, but that put me up wind of the hogs. Fortunately, the wind was slight and they never took notice of me. The last hog shown being shot on the run was a juvenile. I am certain he is down and dead, but for the life of me I could not find it after an hour of searching. If you watch the video closely, you will see that the hogs are rooting before I start shooting. Several are in holes they have dug and so don't appear to be very large, if they can even be seen, but once the shooting starts, they just sort of spring from the ground. My guess is that the lost hog is probably in one of the rooting holes that are all over the pasture and I probably would never find it unless I actually walked directly over it.

No necropsy as radar said rains were eminent, but the Hornady SST nicely.

Yes, a Kynshot RB5000 hydraulic buffer. The RB5000 means it is for an AR15 carbine.

I still like it just fine!

Pretty small piglet you nailed with your 1911! Curious what ammo your carrying in your 1911? I really enjoy your videos, thanks for posting!

Well, my pistol is my carry gun. So it is loaded with Federal HST 230 gr. The distance was about 5 yards and the piglet was standing still.

Awesome video!! Those 123 SST are really the old faithful of the Grendel line.. in your videos against rough hogs they always seem to do the trick.
