Non-lead bullet users. Lehigh Defense is listening, new bullet launch.

    Folks,

Lehigh Defense is coming out with a new 110gr 6.5 bullet. Sent for info, will let you know when I hear back from them. Opens down to 1500fps, increasing the Grendel effective range. A2

Another low velocity performer. Hopefully it keeps all of the little things that make Grendel great and isn't really long. 110 Gr should be pretty long for a lead free. This could get exciting.

The 95gr Controlled Chaos gets some pretty fast speeds in Grendel.

I'm looking forward to this. https://www.lehighdefense.com/collec...nt=43523567816

Looks like its designed to break into two - note the deep notch in the third band.

Be hard pressed for me anyways to beat the 95gr controlled chaos. That has been an incredible round for me so far.

....but thay 1500fps minimum expansion threshold is very very sexy... think I'll give these a try!

They don't actually say "expansion", but state "performance". I'm anxious to get hold of these myself and see what they do at low velocities. They made just bend or break causing tumbling.

Like the Cerberus. See results of the Cerberus here: http://www.65grendel.com/forum/showt...-2-Gel-Results. If they get performance at 1500 fps, it will be an interesting round indeed.

I'll chime in here after some more data-results pop up. I've been a busy boy on the LFP's for 8 years, much of it on tweaks, and behind the scenes.

Hi all, back again to read the latest. It's hunting season again in California. Land of the... well, whatever. (I didn't want to say liberal gun grabbing ecologist lead banning hippies, so I won't)... Anyway, that NOT said, I have all these E-tip bullets and still haven't been able to find a good recipe for accuracy. Anybody have any good tips? Ideas? Recipes? What am I doing wrong? I get great results from the TTSX, and from Amax, SMK's and just about everything else. Sub MOA. I have an AA 24" Overwatch that is a heavy barrel. I get good velocities, great consistent accuracy with everything I put down the tube and whatever powder I use. Can't get any of it to work on the E-tip, though the .308 version works great in my Scar17! Sub MOA in that 16" tube. I don't get it. I would love to use this rifle for long range (300+ yds) deer on my land. Sure, I can use the .308, (and the 30-30 for close range). I don't want to!!! I wanna use my 6.5 Grendel!

Have you tried Vihtavouri N530? I had good results with it using long projos like the 120 GMX or the 140 Naturalis.

ROS, what accuracy results did you get from the 90 & 95 gr E tips I sent to you 3 years back?

The 120 version just might not fly true at lower speeds., in the Grrrr.

The 110's are discounted a bit at Midway for anyone looking for an excuse to try them. Course, we have no idea when they're actually be in stock ; )
