Hi my name is Joseph, and I have a problem... my crack dealer keeps pushing these products on me. He's worse than a wife. Lol.
I'll be in for 4-6 I'll email later when I can actually afford it. Thanks alot BFT!
Very similar. Except for the 6.5 Grendel "Monster" logo lasered on the side. Bwhahahaha!
Seriously, these ARE Lehigh Defense, or more properly, Millennium Manufacturing bolts (they are sister companies). I think I put that info in my original post?

Warp: Yes and no. When firearms factories assemble a rifle, they use gauges to make sure the headspace is correct, right? They're basically making sure the "barrel matches the bolt." So when we have an enthusiast assembling his own gun, what do we do? Does he suddenly not need headspace gauges to verify proper headspace? Theoretically, yes, he does. On the other hand, these AR bolts are designed to be a mass-produced, interchangeable part. On the other hand, yet again, manufacturing variances and tolerance stack are a reality.
In the AR homebuilding world we may not need to match a particular barrel to a particular bolt, but you do need to make damn sure your barrel is chambered for a corresponding boltface depth. You must know whether your barrel is chambered for a 0.136" boltface depth or a 0.125" boltface depth. And then you get the bolt appropriate to that depth. In that sense, you need to match bolt to barrel.
Bottom line is the AR homebuilder would be wise to use headspace gauges to verify headspace, even with a barrel that uses the appropriate bolt, since he is now taking responsibility to act as his own firearms factory. One skips that step at his own risk.

Thank you very much, BFT! As a first-time builder, this was one topic that I hadn't come across before. I appreciate your help! Any leads on an economical headspace gauge, or should I just ask my local armorer to check it out before firing it? (I currently have no plans to build additional ARs, but one never knows...)
[To be clear, I've just received the stripped upper/lower and don't even have all the parts yet.]
