    Rousch Sports Handguard

I ordered one of these thinking it would be like a Guntec handguard.

The 10" version is a boat anchor compared to a Guntec 12".

Guntec 12" with barrel nut: 8.6 ounces

Rousch Sports 10" with barrel nut: 10.9 ounces

The barrel nut feels like it's made from Depleted Uranium.

Are you going to use it regardless or sell?

I'm tempted to just order a Guntec 10" now.

I mocked up the upper with BCG, BCM Gunfighter, muzzle device, but no gas block or tube. 3lbs 12.5oz.

I weighed one of my complete lowers at 2lbs .5ounces.

I've built 20" guns with Lilja AR740 barrels that were 6lbs clean, so I was kinda thinking I was going to be a bit lighter with this, plus this will be suppressed with a TBAC Ultra 5.

Thankfully, the Ultra 5 is only 7.6 ounces.

That looks a lot like the $30 chinese ebay rails.

I heard some of the cheap ebay rails are not even anodized, just painted.

I have a thread on the other forum about looking for a new rail.

the market has some much now, it's hard to decide.

...and my choice has been delayed by buying more and more 6.5G stuff

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Without much else to compare it to my Matrix seems pretty light, it was made in the US too. I was going to get a Rousch (mainly because our dog is named Roush honestly) but I thought the Matrix looked like a better deal.
