Very Happy with my 16" FAXON 6.5Grendel build.

Really happy with my 16" FAXON Gunner 16" barrel.

Today, I shot some 107gr SMK loaded with IMR 8208XBR, 28,5gr gave me 0.60'ish" groups

I'd be happy with it too!! Real nice looking set up!

I'm almost 100% convinced that brownells BCG/bolt is the exact same as the Odin Works BCG/bolt they are using.

Great report! Any velocity data on your 107 load?

I brought my chrony, and then realized, the little tripod adapter, was on my old DSLR camera, which I've loaned to my daughter.
She's taking a photography class. opps

I thought about trying to rig something up, but then decided to just shoot.

Gives me an excuse to go back another day, and shoot more

28.5gr XBR seemed to shoot the best groups

It seems to run fine with my old CP 6.8SPC mags also.

My new Faxon 20" group buy barrel came with some reddish paint near the alignment pin just as the yellow paint is shown in the photo above.

                Great looking rifle.

Derek, you run any of the Black through it yet, if so how did it do?

first two times out, it shot 123ELD at about 1MOA

might shoot a bit better as it's getting broken in.

Not bad for a barrel that was $223 shipped from Joe Bobs Outfitters. Got it in 2 days

Thanks for the thread! I have been thinking about a 16" build, and Faxon is on my short list for barrels.

Any further updates, particularly if you can get several hundred yards of range, would be very helpful.

I just bought the Brownells BCG for 6.5 Grendel based on this post. I needed a bolt carrier as well as a bolt or I would have bought another group buy bolt.
