Can I Use Thermal To Follow Blood Trails?

I get asked this question quite often. This is a little video I put together that demonstrates why thermal generally will not work for this purpose.

Liquid equalizes to ambient temps really fast.

You also see it in extreme cold happen rapidly.

Electron flow theory at work. Great video again.

I have no idea what electron flow theory is, but will have to read up on it.

The sensitivity of that type or thermal or FLIR is not available to the public yet...at least in the compact and affordable manner.
