I built a Grendel AR last year and never found the time to see what it could do. Last week I managed to sneak out and put some rounds down range in prep for the start of firearm deer season.
Upper:
Stripped BCM upper + upper receiver assembly kit
Faxon 6.5G Forum 16" Group Buy barrel
BCM KMR Alpha 15" rail
SilencerCo ASR flash hider
Lower:
Stripped Anderson lower + PSA lower build kit
Larue MBT-2S trigger
Magpul ACS-L stock
Optic:
Burris Veracity 2-10x42 scope
I had several boxes of Hornady 123 SST ammo and 1 box of the PF 129 ABLR. I started with the SSTs and moved to the ABLRs. My last shots of the day made me extremely happy. I know a 2 shot "group" doesn't tell the whole story but at 100yds its a heck of a lot better than I anticipated.
If PF was still offering the 129 ABLR ammo I would have been more willing to shoot a group to measure. As it stands now, I'm not worried about putting a round in the right spot on a whitetail.

The picture loaded sideways. The shots were 1/3" low vs right.
