I have the Warne mount. Gave it a little Blue loctite just in case!
This might be obvious to most but be careful with the 4 screws as they come in different lengths and need to be put in the correct position on the action...

Wasn't this supposed to be your wife's rifle?

I've a set of Warne's on a bolt gun and love them. Solid as can be. Can't speak to the one piece units, though.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

I bought a 1” 20 MOA Warne one piece mount for my 16” 6.5 Grendel. So far the Warne seems to be a quality mount.

I recently bought a Athlon Helos 6x24 FFP Mil for a Ruger 6mm Creedmoor and have been nothing but impressed...I have a Bushnell Elite Tactical 6x24 FFP on my Howa and they are very close in a lot of ways....

I believe your story, but I'm pretty sure a 30 mm tube transmits no more or less light than a 1" tube. Perhaps inferior glass was also to blame.

I’m not sure I believe your story!!
Why are most “ higher end “ scopes made in either a 30 mm or 34mm tube?

More adjustment, and more light. Just like a larger objective.

A 34mm scope normally has 100+moa of elevation, that allows for much more dialing without a canted base, and much more usage towards the middle of the objective.
