    4-16 for sure.

Magnification range suits the PST glass better.

I had a 6-24 model and from 20-24x eye relief got extremely critical and low light resolution was non-existent, never had that problem with the 4-16.

As far as stretching it out, I believe PredatorDown used the 4-16 model to make hits at 1000 and 1500 yards on his Grendel.

I actually prefer the 6-24. I find the higher mag works better for seeing bullet holes in paper. I've not noticed much of a resolution drop off above 20x. When I'm ringing steel out to 1000 yards, I usually have it on 24x.

That said, my rifle is a target rifle. I don't use it for hunting so low light performance at dawn/dusk is not something I've tested. Your intended use may dictate which you go for.

        How old are you?
Don’t mean to be insulting but people on here all the time talk about using a fixed 10 power out to 1000 yds....
Maybe in your 20s or 30s.
I shoot occasionally shoot out to 1000 yds at 200 intervals, no one shoots with any thing less than 24 power and that’s not just with Grendel’s.

Shooting accurately with a 16 power compared to 24 power makes a difference....

If you're gonna stretch it then get the 6x24. Thank us later.

You can always dial back the magnification on a 24x, but you can't add to a 16x.

Yep. Old eyes 16 x is not enough for long range. For normal hunting ranges it's fine. I have the gen 1. 4-16 mil.
