shot this guy opening day with 6.5 @about 150 yards. The doe ran across 50 yards in front of it jumped the fence and headed for the slough. This guy stopped straight down wind of me and let me shoot him. He tipped over right where he was standing. The doe in front of him turned around and came back to the buck and headed out the way she came. I was just going to shoot her when I noticed the buck got back up and was heading to the slough. I was in disbelief and swung back to it to put on in the back of it's head (all I could see in the cattails was head and neck) He dropped right there. My first bullet went in the front shoulder and our the other side in couple spots including the front leg. Both lungs were mush. The second bullet went in right side of head by base of neck and out the right side of the nose. I did recover what was left of the first bullet or lack of (just the copper jacket). It was stuck between the skin and meat on exit side.
