There IS a God! Very happy about this.

As always, would like to have seen a more aggressive ogive like their new 6.5mm 150gr, but I'll take what I can get.

When I see a revised 123 SMK with the same nose as that 150 SMK, then I'll know I've died and gone to heaven.

Thanks for being on top of these things, guys!

They say it has a thin jacket good for varmints.I wonder how it would hold up on deer?I have shot a number of deer and wolves and one cougar using 65 gr. Sierra game king bullets in a .223.They always seem to do the job.I figured they were a bit light thou, but if you choose your shot. When I came across the Grendel I sold the .223.

            .450 averaged G1 BC

            .445 above 2200fps
            .455 between 1600 fps and 2200 fps
            .415 @ 1600 fps and below

TMKs in .223 are doing really well in terminal ballistics testing.

Has a really nice boat tail on it.

Should be able to get 2685fps in an accuracy node from 18" barrels using a mild load of CFE223.

I'll probably try 8208XBR and AR Comp first though. BC is really close to the Litz averaged BC for the 123gr Hornady bullets, but you can get 160fps faster from a 107 compared to a 123gr.

Do loads with equivalent weight SMKs and TMKs typically perform the same? I have a box of 107 SMKs that I haven't gotten around to playing with - might try it with XBR and Benchmark.

                Not in my experience..

TMK are MUCH more sleek, like a Berger VLD. Charge weights and seating depths were different from thier SMK counterpart.

Also in my experience with the 69gr TMK and 175 TMK they expand VIOLENTLY. The 69gr going 2750 out of my 16" 5.56 were one of the most destructive things I've ever seen on groundhogs.

I'm even more excited to push these out to 3300 fps from my 260 and see what it does to a coyote.

Have you tried CFE with the 107 Smk? I just sheared a bolt lug running the 107 with XBR @ 30gr - 2700 FPS. Wondering if CFE could hold that velocity at lower pressure? Great projectile for going long. 16" gong @ 840yds in 8+ Mph crosswind and still easy to connect rapidly. Lots of fun!

Is anyone planning to do ballistic gel test on this bullet?

Yes. With some Coyote grade gel.
