            Hornady brass.
Not sure on the fps, don't have a Chrono, yet. From the reloading data I have, somewhere 2500-2550fps I'm guessing. Maybe more from the 22" barrel.

It did put that weird ring around the bottom of the brass that I've seen on here. My AR didn't do it, but the Ruger does?

Can you feel it, or just see the base to case wall line?

Mic the case head (just past the rim) and again just past the "ring"

I have a .005 difference on an AR Lilja fired case, and .002 on a Howa fired case.

Not sure what the tolerance is, but I would suspect that more than .01 would be bad - loose chamber bad. Someone with more know how on the matter will chime in. Try a search both here in Reloading, and in the troubleshooting section. Not the first to ask this question, won't be the last.

Ran some ladders with me new Lilja AR24, 23" Tube. Max group size was maybe 1.5 MOA for all ladders. Green where Half or better. 5 shot strings. Happy with this! My last lilja hated CFE223. This one likes. I'm surprised Tac was faster? CFE223 is speed king? Thoughts? That looks like a very easy decision. Almost 2700fps, single digit SD, and under .5". Time to a few more groups of five to verify the load.

Western list the 107 SMK with TAC, maximum load 29.9 grain velocity with 20” barrel 2606 FPS, pressure 51,770. I’d be leary going that high with TAC, get a day around 95+ degrees, I would think this would shorten the bolts life.

Good advice, is TAC temp stable? (I haven't worked with before). I like the groups with CFE a little better so probably going to run with CFE. Here is a link to Sierra's load data for anyone else that doesn't have it yet:

I understand that it is more stable than CFE. I love CFE but am looking at some other powders for temp stability.

I've seen plenty of burn rate charts, and a couple of attempts at quantifying temperature sensitivity. I have never seen both in the same chart, so I thought that this might be something a few of us would consider useful. The sources for burn rates include Hodgdon, Alliant, Western Powders. The temperature data has been
