    A distinction without a difference. .1 mils equates to about 1 centimeter at 100 meters. It's metric in it's application.

        "Starting out" as in "I want to get into a scope and I dont have a particular affinity to either MOA or MIL and am looking for advice", which is what I thought the original intention of the OP was.
