No Hogs, but Coyotes, Lots of Coyotes

Another hunt of unintended events. I had a landowner that wanted a sow and so I tried getting him a sow. I saw no sows. I saw no hogs. What I saw were coyotes. Apparently, he doesn't eat coyotes. I will see if I can get him a sow this weekend, LOL.

It was a really nice night for thermal and I shot coyotes at 225 and 170 yards, missing another at 265. I kept searching for hogs for a couple more hours, got cold, went to Whataburger. Whataburger is a southern burger chain with a very loyal following. They are open 24/7 and so are a favorite of many hunters for a before hours breakfast when going out for that first deer of the season and for folks like me that hunt in the middle of the night.

Got a friend who works for Whataburger in sales and marketing. Guess they sell the condiments to Supermarkets all over the country!!

Yeah, my is a #1 with cheese, no onions, coke. If I haven't eaten for a day or two, or don't plan to eat for a day or two, Whatasized with a chocolate shake, LOL.

The Whataburger thing makes me laugh. We don't have them in Missouri but it's the only restaurant of any kind in the little town in far East TX where I hunt hogs with a friend. Nothing quite as good as driving into town at 2am covered in blood to grab 6 bags of ice and about 3000 calories worth of Whataburger.

What yardage do you have your scope set to zero at?

It is a bit over 1/2" high at 100 yards. That is as close to 100 as I can get without going under.
