    6.8 mags in a Grendel?

Anyone try 6.8 mags in a Grendel? I read one post online that said that they are the same as the Grendel Mag, with just a different color follower. No idea if this is true or not. So...I ordered one to try out. It seems to cycle ammo through okay. I'm not near a range so that I could actually try it. It's a 15-round magazine, that I can get 14 rounds of Grendel in. Anybody else try this, any feedback on it?

The fees lips are different between the two as well.

You can get Grendel specific mags from both elander and CPD from brownells now for under $20 a piece.

I'd stick with Grendel mags, even though the 6.8 mags might work, it's a maybe, and why bother with Grendel specific mag availability right now.

The 5, 10, 15, and 25 round 6.8 mags are on sale at primary arms for $8 each. I am not saying that they will work, just posting my observations. http://www.primaryarms.com/15-68-SS-BM-G-ASC

I've never tried it, but I think they're close enough that it's worth an experiment.

I had no problem with 10 round ASC 6.8 Mag one day when I accidentally used in a Grendel. Worked fine but had me scratching my head as to why I could only get 9 in it. Until I got home.

I have 2 ASC 10 rounders that # 10 is a PITA to get in. Wondering if it is just the same mag with a different follower.

I bought a bunch of 6.8mags for another build I did. All 10rounders. They'd did not work for the intended purpose so I tried them in the Grendel. Work like a charm. Zero problems and a few hundred rounds later.
