    Gas Block Recommendation

I bought a Geisselle MK14 Rail for my new build. It game with a gas block but I do not like the silver color and want a nitride or at least a back finished. Not really interested in an adjustable model.

Lite weight and well made for 20 buck i have used two aero precision gas blocks. Hard to go wrong with these. Or just paint it for near nothing?

Good quality no frills gas block made in the USA. Tight tolerances and quality materials.

Never thought about a paint job. Guess that would be pretty simple.

How about black barbecue paint? It should hold up to the heat.

Contacted Geisselle today and the barbecue high heat paint is what they recommended.

I've used the lo-pro Bravo Company gasblocks for my last few builds. All have gone together as they should and have never had a problem with any of them. They also fit with the pinning jig I purchased so that's part of why I stick to that specific one.

Geissele also makes nitrided ones that are black too. I've used black header paint with good results on a re-profiled gas block a time or two.
