Ric, it's a great idea. I've seriously thought about that to minimize shipping.

You could fit 500 of them into a USPS Small Flat Rate box and send it anywhere in the country for $6.65.

Once they are official and distributed, Monmouth Reloading will be the place to get them. Most RDFs are a quarter +/- a few pennies there. I got 1k of the 140s shipped for under $250 in the fall - the sale saved $20 or so - and they made sure to note that both 500 ct boxes were the same lot. They use flat rate priority boxes and don’t really jack it up. I think they are probably around $7-8 for 100 ct boxes.

And a concave base!!! Is that asking too much?

I can guess, but why a concave base?

I'm liking the base cavity idea, seating deeper with out sacrificing as much case capacity.

Wouldn’t more surface area expose it to more wind drift? I would also think it was designed around a 1:8 twist.

I'm getting a pretty consistent .684 base to ogive. Just loaded up a few test rounds and at an COAL of 2..275. I'm not even sure I'm still on the bearing service, but the math works out. Loaded some others to 2.285. They fit in my ASC mag, but there's not a lot of room to spare. Trying CFE and LeveRevolution. Can't make it to the range until Friday.

                              Why wait?

I finally got some of the new Berger 130 AR OTM Hybrid bullets and decided to try them out with CFE 223 and LEVERevolution. Barrel: 24" Bartlein 5R SAAMI chambered by PF, 8" twist Brass: 6 times fired Lapua Bullet: Berger 130gr AR OTM Hybrid OAL: 2.280" Primer: CCI BR-4 Powder: CFE223 and LEVERevolution

CFE gave about the same velocity as Leverevolution for me with a little less accuracy.
