Howa 6.5 Grendel Mini action bolt movement

Firstly like to say I am very happy with mine and it is extremely accurate.

Noticed recently there is a good bit of slop or movement when the trigger is cocked or unfired and the bolt is locked down.

If I rock it back and forth there is quite a bit of wiggle or movement at the rear of the bolt. I tried to the same with 2 other rifles I own and there was very little.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen the same?

If I understand this is when the bolt is cocked and safety on?
Anyway I tried that setup in my Howa HB (6.5 Gr- 20") and there is a bit of bolt-lift travel but nothing I could call excessive.
I also have a Howa 1500 in 6.5 Creed, and it has slight lift also... maybe a tad less than the HB but neither one seemed "off" to me.
Didn't notice any back-and-forth rocking ability of the rear of the bolt in the receiver channel for either one.

(I have a savage also but it's buried right now and a little hard to get to).

      Went and checked it again.

It is a sideways movement. If you put your thumb and forefinger on the rear of the bolt.

      Safety position does not matter.
There is less movement when the trigger is (not cocked) or fired.

It is probably nothing but it seemed not quite right....

The movement in the chamber may or may not be detectable given the length of the bolt assembly.

The tail section of the bolt floats. Is the body moving?

Sad, I have 4 Howa minis at my disposal and I can't get to any of them at the moment to look my ownself.

Is there the same movement when a round is chambered? Without a round, there is nothing for the bolt to push against for a tight fit.

Looked at one of mine. The tail section floats and moves, the body stays put, near as I can tell. Watching the rear, the tail is moving independently of the body.
