    Grendel Newbie

    Names Bob

Been reloading now about 6 years pistol, hunting rifles and 223 match guns.

Just purchased a JP Enterprises 22" supermatch barrel.

Just finished bore sighting with Hornady 123gr ELD factory ammo. Wow. I've never been lucky enough to own a barrel that shoots same hole accuracy

Looking to learn about what's required to keep this jewel accurate with hand loads.

Welcome to the forum BobbyT! The JP 6.5 Grendel barrels have a very good reputation for accuracy and reliability on this forum. The JP the silent captured spring is also very popular with forum members.

Welcome, and sounds like a winner! That's some fine performance, but JP is rather well known for good stuff. Any other details on your build?

          Tried a few different load

Moly coated some 123gr and 100gr Hornady ELDs
Loaded these at mag length for starters (2.25).

It was windy but from my back

          Chrono wouldn't work (overcast)

I guess the same hole day was a fluke

Welcome to the Clan, bobbyt, from the Great Nation of Texas! "Same hole's" are always acceptable but not often repeatable. It was a 3-leaf same hole that got me hooked on the Grendel. Never done it since, but that's OK. The other patterns are still extremely good when I do my part.
