    Tried it today - it works.

    No need for a cardboard box because the shells just fall onto the shooting bench beside the rifle and I pick each up and inspect it and then throw it in my brass bucket.

        Naw, I'm serious about being retired and staying that way.

        I guess you could put one on with a tube of construction adhesive (use the black so it'll look nice ) but really the rail mount sling hook I used works fine.

            Here's one by Magpul that's similar to the Ebay cheapo that I used. I also took the thumb nut and screw from one of the failed brass catchers and transplanted them to the sling hook so that I could fasten or remove my brass bouncer without any tools.
