Ok I did it, Ruger American in 6.5 Grendel.

    Folks,

I have a decent size store credit at a LGS. So I went on GunWeenie and saw that the had 5 of the Ruger Americans in the Grendel, by the time I whipped my credit card out and secured mine they had 1!!!!!!!!. Holy shit they sold quick!!!! Frontiergear was kind enough to offer up his first RA in 6.5 G, but I was worried about the stock. But since I sold a couple of other firearms at my LGS, I thought what the hell! A2

So you went ahead with it Someone else on this forum actually bought mine the day after you decided not to. They are going fast. When my distributor got their 8 in they called me right away. They were down to 4 by the time I picked up the phone and they only had one left by the time I hung up. That last one was quickly gone as well. The only one that I currently know of available is in Spokane https://www.gunagents.com/listing/ru...5grendel/18537

      Frontier,

Thats why I gave the kudos to ya. Your a man of honor. The only reason I jumped at this one was because the LGS I am having it sent to, has a store credit for me. Do not want to piss off the War Department, she says I have enough toys. A2

The hornady didnt do well... Not sure why, 1.25-2" groups with black/custom hornady.

            I loaded 107smk ontop of IMR 8208 from 27gr-28.5. Hit the sweet spot at 27.8gr of 8208. Here's a 5 shot group at 100.

                Jm,

What distance? You had yours bedded? Looks great! Did you stiffen the fore end? A2

at 100 yards. I had the action bedded yes, before I shot.. so I cant say that it helped, but it didnt hurt anything. And I did not. the forend is a lot nicer than the previous stock.. you can still move it but it's a lot stiffer and doesnt touch the barrel.

                      Jm,

Which cheek riser did you use? What optic? Does the bipod cause any fore end twist? A2

The cheek riser was on ebay, .06 thickness, $29.99 shipped. Works great. Weaver Tactical 3-15x50 FFP scope. Natchezss has them on sale from $850 for $499, atleast they did a few weeks ago when I ordered mine. No forend twist at all.

This USA made Kydex is cell/smooth finish and is the industry standard for holsters and sheaths. Black in color with a flat (matte) texture, our standard line of cheek rests will give you a perfect cheek weld for higher mounted optics on your precision rifle or slug gun.

Made in USA. I put it on at his shop (we're friends). very easy to do.
